InSPIRES research encompasses both clinical and basic research, focusing on ways to improve mental healthcare with new and novel treatments, early detection programs and multidisciplinary investigations. Our research addresses the influence of life-course events that may impair or augment our ability to connect with others. As experts in this field, we provide diagnosis, treatment, brain imaging and cognitive testing to participants, with the objective of enhancing our understanding of these disabling disorders. Through the application of scientific methods to evaluate the most effective interventions our researchers and clinicians work hand-in-hand to improve the mental health and wellness of countless individuals, their families and communities. Research studies are conducted by experienced research staff of NYU School of Medicine, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and research assistants.
We are actively recruiting research subjects who have been diagnosed with Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, Bi-Polar Disorder or Major Depressive Disorder for our ongoing clinical studies.
